This course consists of 11 video lessons with approximately 2.5 hours of content. You'll receive lifetime access and can work through the material at your own pace. If you've ever felt drawn to working for yourself as a therapist, counsellor, coach, or helping professional, this course is designed to show you that the goal may be far more achievable than you imagine. Many people dream of creating a practice that gives them greater freedom, flexibility, and meaning, but never take the first step because the path feels unclear or overwhelming. They assume they need more qualifications, more experience, more confidence, or a perfect business plan before they can begin. In reality, most successful self-employed therapists start in a much simpler way. In this course, I share what I have learned from building a successful private practice and working independently with clients for many years. We look at the practical realities of becoming self-employed, including qualifications, finding your niche, attracting clients, creating an online presence, setting up the business side of things, and knowing when it may be the right time to leave traditional employment. Just as importantly, we explore the emotional and psychological side of the journey. Building a private practice is not only a business project. It is also a personal process that can challenge your confidence, fears, beliefs, and assumptions about what is possible for you. My goal is not to sell you an unrealistic dream. Self-employment comes with challenges and responsibilities. However, many of the obstacles people fear most are often smaller than they appear from a distance. The process is usually more straightforward, more forgiving, and more accessible than people expect. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. You simply need a willingness to take the next step and learn as you go.
