How Accepting Your Vulnerability Makes You Stronger

Updated: Apr 12, 2021

Self development can be helpful. But it comes with the risk of falling into the assumption that only positive feelings are acceptable. True maturity means to accept all emotion. It means to give permission to all feelings that come up.

In this video I talk about dropping the goal of always feeling good. Sorry, but that's not the way this works folks! Human beings are incredibly deep and capable of a vast array of emotional experiences.

In accepting that we are vulnerable, we give ourselves permission to feel everything. The thing is, this is a huge help for us. That's because, it's never really the emotion we struggle with. rather, it's the resistance we hold against it. This creates an intense internal conflict, one which drains our energy and lust for life itself.

Allowing emotions to come up means to let go of our resistance to them.

Thanks as always,

David
